Making Art with Recycled and Repurposed Materials

I am excited to share a new resource for families —an ebook which is all about making art at home using repurposed materials!

What makes this ebook special is that you don’t need to buy new or expensive art supplies. Every project is designed to use items you probably already have around the house—think cardboard boxes, bottle tops, plastic containers, or even natural materials like sticks and leaves. It’s a great way to save money, reduce waste, and support children’s imagination all at once.

What’s inside?

Recycled and repurposed materials are everyday objects that have had a previous life as something else. These materials are great to use in children’s art as they are open-ended and encourage imagination and creativity.

This ebook features six creative art activities, each contributed by a talented art educator:

Experimenting with light and shadow by Laura Fantini

Who is it for?

This ebook is perfect for families who are looking for fun art activities to do at home. The activities featured in it have been designed for children aged two years and over however, you could modify them for all ages.

Share your creations!

We would love to see the art you and your children create from the ebook!

If you share your photos on social media with the hashtag #artplaychildrenlearning so we can cheer you on.

Happy making,

Louisa
